About
Onsen Ryokan Marumo sits a five-minute walk from JR Tottori Station and draws on its own hot-spring source. The water in the main communal bath feels faintly salty and smooth on the skin, and runs a little on the hot side. A private family bath is also available without reservation, open to day-use visitors as well as overnight guests, and is where guests with tattoos are asked to bathe instead of the main bath. The two-story ryokan wraps around a central garden that every guest room looks onto, and there is a dining room open to outside visitors at midday. Dinner for guests staying over is a seasonal kaiseki course built around Tottori's local seafood.
