About
Hinomaru Onsen is a small neighborhood sento a short walk from Tottori Station, built around a single tub that runs hot, faintly salty and a little cloudy from real hot spring water kept flowing fresh (kakenagashi) rather than recirculated. There's no cold plunge, so regulars cool off with a splash of cold water instead. Step through the curtain and it's an unmistakably old, Showa era room with an attendant at the front desk, plus a private bath you can reserve ahead if you'd rather not share. A small restaurant upstairs serves food and drinks, with live jazz some evenings.
