About
Takara Onsen is a small neighbourhood sento in central Tottori city's Yoshikata Onsen district, and a member of the local bathhouse association. A single square tub sits in the middle of the plain, old-fashioned bathroom, filled with clear natural hot-spring water. Wash taps ring the tub, though soap and shampoo aren't provided, so bring your own. The entrance keeps a raised attendant stand, bantai (番台), and the changing room its wooden lockers, the sort of unpretentious neighbourhood bathhouse that's getting harder to find.
