Retro Showa-era ryokan in Iizaka with two springs and an annex bath
Open-air outdoor bath
Enclosed indoor bathing area
A private bath you can reserve for yourself or your group
A restaurant or dining room open to visitors, not only meals for overnight guests
Ryokan Iseya is an old, unpretentious inn in Iizaka onsen, with a Showa-era feel and baths kept very clean. The main building has a hot indoor bath with washing stations, and a roomy open-air bath that you reach by dressing and walking down a corridor, since it has no washing area of its own. The water there runs milder than indoors. The inn has two springs, and an annex called Keisensou (渓泉荘) has its own bath, which guests can also use, though it is not open every day. The open-air bath can also be rented privately. Day visitors come in too, so the big bath gets crowded at busy hours and is quiet late at night and early in the morning. There is a food court on the ground floor of the main building for a simple meal.
