Per person per hour, tax included, towel and bath towel provided. Reservation required. The inn's own site also sells five-hour private-bath plans with a meal from 16,500 yen per person.

About
A small inn in the Konya hamlet of Umegashima, four kilometres below the hot-spring village at the head of the valley. Its four baths are all private and taken one party at a time, and the water is a simple sulfur spring, strongly alkaline at around pH 10, near the top of the range found in Japan. It rises at about 31 degrees, too cool to bathe in as it comes, so the baths are warmed, and the coolest of the four is held low on purpose for a long slow soak. Konya is a contraction of the gold ravine, which is what the miners who worked these slopes in the Edo period called the place. Day guests rent a bath by the hour, by reservation.
