A calcium- and sodium-led sulfate spring with a salty edge from its chloride side, the sulfate giving the water a quiet, settled body. Mildly alkaline and soft on the skin, it is moderately mineralized with noticeable body, and its metasilicic acid content places it in Japan's beauty-water family, leaving a light silica film on the skin. The posted indications include cuts, burns and chronic skin conditions.

Scenic Detached Inn, Tsuki no Usagi A ryokan in Ito. The ryokan has eight villa-style rooms. They differ a little in price, design, and the location of the bath. There is a main building where check-in takes place, and there is also a restaurant with private rooms. On the second floor there is a small souvenir shop and a library, and you can also borrow DVDs there to watch in your room. There is foreign staff, but they speak Japanese very well. After check-in and a welcome tea, they lead you through a small bamboo grove to your room. (They say wild squirrels run there in the mornings.) We took a two-story room, and from the outside it looks like a small old house. The main highlight is the rotenburo with a view of Sagami Bay. The website says the water in the onsen is mildly salty (弱食塩泉), and there is a note from an onsen sommelier saying it is a "beauty onsen." The water is 42 C. They cool it down because the source is hotter. But you cannot adjust the temperature yourself, you need to call the front desk. There is also a hinoki uchiburo with a window. As for the food, I did not especially remember the evening kaiseki, except for the Japanese spiny lobster dish. Breakfast was good, so good that I asked for extra rice. In principle we did not really use the room much, and spent almost the entire stay in the onsen or nearby. We just kept staring at the sea. You could look at the stars, listen to the sea, and watch the sunrise. In my personal ranking, it is around 8/10.
