This is a large resort hotel in Jozankei with a spacious bathing floor: four indoor baths, including a reclining lying-bath, plus an open-air bath that looks out over the surrounding mountains. The water is clear and faintly salty on the skin. A Finnish-style sauna with loyly steam sessions is paired with a cold plunge, and there's a small foot-bath terrace by the ground-floor cafe lounge. Select upper-floor rooms have their own onsen tub facing the valley. Bathing is gender-separated with the two sides swapping periodically, and day-use bathing is available separately from an overnight stay.
