About

Kyorinso is an onsen inn in the mountains of Yokote, Akita, with an open-air bath fed by flowing spring water and a large indoor bath in the new wing. Guests describe the water as thick and silky, with a faint oily, sulfur smell, and it leaves the skin smooth. There is also ganbanyoku (岩盤浴), a warm natural-stone sauna bed. The inn is plain and fairly old, with a quiet, local feel, and day visitors (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) come in regularly alongside overnight guests. Mountains surround it and there is little else nearby.
