YuPia is a roomy day-use bath on the edge of Tendo, built around natural spring water. Separate men's and women's bath areas each have indoor baths at two temperatures, a wide open-air bath (rotenburo), a sauna and a cold plunge, plus a reclining bath and a jet bath for a massage. The open-air bath looks toward the mountains, and reviewers mention the view over the town. Away from the water there is a restaurant serving Yamagata dishes and a large 60-tatami rest hall, so it works for a long unhurried stop.
