波来湯公園
Small riverside park with a free footbath and handbath
Uses natural hot spring water
A small park on the Surikami river, just below the Hakoyu (波来湯) public bath in Iizaka. It has a footbath (ashiyu) and a handbath (teyu) that people use for free, and the water runs fairly hot. There are benches and a gazebo, so it works as a place to cool off or rest after a soak next door. The river flows right beside it, and the park also holds a small historic site tied to the mother of the Sato brothers who served Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
