Hiranoya Ryokan

A small, old-fashioned ryokan in Iizaka onsen, close to the station. The bath is filled with clear, smooth-feeling hot-spring water, and there is a shower with soap and shampoo. Water straight from the tap can run hot, so the owner may suggest cooling it with shower water. The inn is run by a husband and wife, and its worn, lived-in rooms and plain home-style meals suit people who like the old way of staying. There is parking.
