Ryokan Yunoya has a cypress open-air bath on its top floor, Tenshu-no-yu (天守の湯), with mountain views all around, and a separate large bath (大浴場) on a lower floor. Both are split by gender; there is no mixed bathing. Day visitors can bathe without booking ahead. The inn sits in Iizaka Onsen, which is said to have been found by Yamato Takeru and counted among the three famous springs of Oshu (奥州三名湯).
