Senkinoyu is one of the communal baths (kyodo yokujo, 共同浴場) of Iizaka onsen, run for the city. Inside there are two tubs side by side: a hot one and a warm one. The water is clear and colorless, and the hot tub runs properly hot even by Iizaka standards, so most visitors, and plenty of locals, stick to the warm one. The bathhouse is simple and old-fashioned, with no partition between the changing area and the bath, and no soap or shampoo provided (they sell it at the counter). You buy a ticket from the machine and hand it over at the counter. Men and women use separate entrances. Parking in front is only two spaces.
