Fushimi-sou is a small inn with 14 guest rooms in Higashiyama Onsen, at the quiet upper end of the valley. The baths are indoors: one large bath for men and one for women, filled with natural hot spring water that reviewers describe as clear. Day visitors can bathe too (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴), and shampoo and soap are at the washing area. Guest rooms face the Yukawa stream and the mountains beyond it. The building is old and plain, with a Showa-era feel, and the welcome from the staff gets a good word from guests.
