YesDay-bathing reception runs 14:00 to 20:00, with guests asked to leave by 21:00.
Children under 2 bathe free. Bath towel rental is 300 yen (face towels are sold, not rented, though you may bring your own). A private bath is available by reservation, 45 minutes for 3,000 yen plus tax.

MatsunoYa Kasen is a ryokan at Yubara onsen built around bath-hopping: a run of differently styled tubs, indoors and outdoors, including a cypress tub, a ceramic tub, a jet bath, a waterfall bath and a reclining bath, with a foot bath to rest at between rounds. The water is gentle on the skin. Baths are separated by gender, with the men's and women's sides swapping at a fixed hour rather than bathing mixed. Some guest rooms have their own semi-open-air bath. The inn sits above the river with a mountain backdrop, some distance from Yubara's main onsen street, and its dinners get almost as much attention from guests as the baths do.
