Okawachi Onsen Inoyu is a small day-use bathhouse in a quiet corner of Shimonoseki. The indoor bath area has two tubs: one of heated water, and a deep tub filled with unheated spring water at its natural temperature, meant for long, slow soaking. The alkaline water feels faintly slippery on the skin, and even the shower water in the washing area comes from the spring. There is no outdoor bath or sauna, but a rest area lets you linger afterward.
