Yokikan

Yokikan looks out over Yuya Bay in Nagato, with two large baths, Genso-no-yu and Yokihi-no-yu (玄宗の湯・楊貴妃の湯), that trade sides between men and women each night so everyone gets a turn at both. Each has its own open-air bath facing straight over the water and an indoor sauna; one adds an electric bath said to ease backache, and there is also a cold plunge. The water itself is smooth and a little slippery on the skin, known locally as bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), a beauty bath. Day-use bathing runs daily, and there are also three reservable family baths for a private soak. The two baths take their names from the Yang Guifei (楊貴妃) legend tied to this stretch of coast, also marked by a nearby garden with her statue. Yokikan itself is a 39-room hotel across two wings, with a restaurant and a sake bar, and a few room types come with their own onsen bath or an in-room jet bath.
