Shunkei Roman Gimpaso

This ryokan sits right on Mikawa Bay in Nishiura Onsen, with Palm Beach at its front door. The two shared baths on the third floor, one for men and one for women, use real onsen water: clear and gentle on the skin, known locally as bihakusen (美白泉), a beauty spring. Between them the baths add an open-air pool, a regular sauna, a mist sauna, a jacuzzi and a cold plunge. Two more open-air baths on the top floor, Tsuki Monogatari (月物語) and Hoshi Monogatari (星物語), can be booked for a private soak over the bay, and guests with tattoos are welcome to use them. A foot bath sits in the onsen cafe si no no me downstairs. The private baths and the room baths run on ordinary water rather than the spring, so the shared baths on the third floor are where the actual hot-spring water is.
