Yunoura Onsen Shiki-no-yu Beer Kobo

Two indoor tubs, one hot and one at a cooler, lingering temperature, sit alongside a sauna and a cold plunge. Outside, a small rotenburo big enough for two sits beside a one-person Tsubo-yu (壺湯) stone tub, whose overflow spills straight into it. The rotenburo faces a wooded hillside, so bathing there feels like sitting right in the mountain. Yunoura's hot spring is said to date back to the days of Iyo Province's ancient capital, when its naturally flowing water was used for recuperation. Soap and shampoo are not stocked at the wash stations, though single-use packets can be bought at the counter. Afterward, the in-house restaurant is known for its wood-fired pizza, Seto Inland Sea seafood and shiitake mushrooms grown on-site with the spring water, and a campsite shares the same grounds.
