Shimanami Hot Spring Kisuke no Yu

This day-use bathhouse by Imabari Station is built for cyclists riding the Shimanami Kaido: locked storage for road bikes, e-bike rentals, and an award from a cycling magazine, four years running, naming it the spot where the most cyclists in Japan gather. The spring water, drawn from 1,000 meters underground, is salty and warming, with a reputation for being kind to the skin. There are more than a dozen baths and saunas to work through: a ginger-steam sauna, a citrus-themed steam sauna, a charcoal sauna, a sauna with an automatic steam generator, a high-concentration carbonated bath, an electric massage bath, a walking bath, a semi open-air rock bath, and, on the women's side, a nano-mist jade bath. A fried-chicken diner and a dessert cafe sit on the first floor, and upstairs a lounge holds 10,000 comics along with recliners and coworking desks. A 30-room capsule hotel is attached for an overnight stay.
