Hanareyado Yamasaki

Every one of the eight cottage rooms at Yamasaki has its own open-air bath, fed straight from the source and kept flowing rather than recirculated, so you can soak whenever you like, day or night, beside your own patch of garden. The baths differ a little from room to room. There is also one shared bath, separate for men and women, open from check-in until eight the next morning for staying guests only, so it rarely gets crowded. The water is warm and mild on the skin. The inn sits at Oda Onsen, a quiet hot-spring spot near the busier Kurokawa Onsen in the hills of Minamioguni, where the handful of local inns keep some distance from each other. All eight rooms are separate cottages, single-story and calm in an old rural way, each with a small terrace outside. Day-use bathing and outside dining were dropped a while back, so it is strictly a place for overnight guests now.
