A sodium-led chloride spring with sulfate adding quiet body and a bicarbonate softness layered in. Neutral in pH and moderately mineralized, it has a noticeable salt-driven warmth that lingers after the bath, the kind of heat-retaining chloride water that keeps you warm well after you step out. The source emerges hot at 59.7 °C in the Manganji district of Minamioguni.

The ryokan has 8 private baths. One of them is a stone bath with a view of a waterfall. The prices are listed as 2000 yen for the bath with the waterfall and 1500 yen for the others. The reception is located in the ryokan building, but the baths themselves are in a separate complex across the bridge.
I visited for a day trip. Only two rectangular baths were available. Unlike the website prices, they charged 1000 yen per bath. Day trip hours are from 09:00 to 15:00 (Mon-Thu) and from 09:00 to 18:00 (Fri-Sun).
1. The first rectangular indoor bath. The water is slightly cloudy, temperature about 40.5°C. It is comfortable to breathe inside, and the window can be opened.
2. The second rectangular indoor bath. The water is slightly cloudy, temperature about 42°C. It is comfortable to breathe inside, and the window can be opened.
The rectangular baths I was able to use are very standard for this region. It would be interesting to try the main bath with the waterfall.
