About
Mashikokan is a ryokan in the pottery town of Mashiko, built around a large indoor bath and an outdoor rotenburo set below a small waterfall. The onsen water runs undiluted and is known locally as gentle on the skin. Both baths are separate for men and women, with a baby bed in each changing area. A separate forest-themed sauna sits alongside the baths, with a deep cold plunge on the men's side and a foot-only cold bath on the women's. Day-use bathing is also offered to visitors who are not staying.
