This ryokan in Tsuwano runs on its own hot-spring source. The water is soft on the skin and leaves it feeling moisturized well after the bath. The large communal baths are separate for men and women, and the open-air bath faces Mount Aono, a peak protected as a national natural monument, with a clear view of the stars on quiet nights. Day-use bathing is open to visitors who aren't staying overnight.
