About

A ryokan on the hillside at Nakanosawa Onsen (中ノ沢温泉), with four baths: an indoor bath, a rough, natural-feeling open-air bath, a cave bath ringed by bare rock, and a stone bath. The water is milky white with a sulfur smell, and a reviewer notes that it stings the eyes a little. The open-air bath sits under trees, so autumn leaves fall over the water. Washing stations are in the indoor bath only. Day visitors are welcome, and walkers, climbers, bikers and skiers drop in on the way home. Face towels can be rented, but there are no bath towels, so bring your own.
