Konya is a ryokan at Tamatsukuri Onsen in Matsue, with two large communal baths, each pairing an indoor bath with a rotenburo, split for men and women. The spring water feels soft and silky, locally known as bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), skin-beautifying water. Two guest rooms have their own hinoki wood open-air tub set in a small garden, and several rooms look out over the Tamayu River running past the inn. Rooms are simple rather than fancy, and dinner is a set kaiseki course rather than a buffet.
