Tennen Iyadani Onsen Daishi no Yu

Daishi no Yu is the bathhouse inside a roadside station (michi-no-eki) in rural Kagawa. The day-use bath is a proper multi-room affair: a hot plain-water tub, jet and bubble baths, a lie-down bath, a rotating medicinal bath, a cold plunge, and a sauna with steam rising off heated stones. The indoor baths open onto a rock-lined rotenburo looking out over the Mitoyo plain to the Sanuki mountains, and the spring water is clear, odorless and leaves the skin feeling smooth. The same ticket covers the attached heated pool, open year round, with a shallow kids' pool session on Sunday and holiday afternoons. It sits on the grounds of a larger roadside station with a restaurant, a rest hall with reclining TV chairs, a playground and an RV park, which makes it as much a family rest stop as a bathhouse.
