About

A big all-round health center in Obama, Iwaki, built for a full day out rather than a quick soak. The baths include a rock rotenburo, an indoor bath with Tokoname-ware pot tubs (tsubo-gama), a carbonated bath, a herbal bath (kanpo yakuyu), a tourmaline bath, a strong jet bath and a cold plunge, plus a Finnish-style sauna with löyly. There are three bedrock bath (ganbanyoku) rooms, with rock salt, ochre and Hokuto themes, and a relax room for lying around afterwards. The restaurant serves Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes, and the place also takes banquets and some overnight stays. Men's and women's baths are separate. Towels and in-house wear can be rented.
