YesOpen every day of the year, including New Year's, with last entry around 8:30 pm (30 minutes before closing).
Adult admission is 600 yen, bought from a ticket machine. A private outdoor family bath can also be booked for 1,100 yen per 50 minutes (free for overnight guests of the adjoining inn).

This is the motoyu (元湯), the original bathhouse of Izumo Yumura Onsen: a small public bath beside a river, with one indoor tub and an outdoor bath that looks over the water. The outdoor bath runs pleasantly lukewarm, easy to sit in for a while, and the water feels soft and smooth on the skin. There are no showers or taps: bathers wash the traditional way, scooping hot water from wooden tubs. A private outdoor bath can be booked for extra privacy, and there is a foot bath too. It is a quiet, rural spot, with birdsong and frog calls more common than crowds.
