Kaiko-en is a small minshuku right on the beach at Iwachi, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula. It has an indoor onsen bath and a seasonal open-air bath, a funa-buro (船風呂, literally a boat bath) that looks straight out over the sea, running from May through October. The inn has been run by the same family for decades and is best known among a long-running community of motorcyclists and cyclists touring the Izu coast, who keep coming back year after year.
