Daimon no Yu (大門の湯) is one of the eight communal baths (kyodo yokujo, 共同浴場) of Iizaka Onsen. It is a small bath on a hill, built in 1962 and managed by the Iizaka-machi property ward (zaisanku, 財産区). The water is very hot, so there is a hose on site for adding cold water, and the house rule is to use it considerately. Men and women enter by separate doors. There is no soap or shampoo provided, only on sale at the bath, and towels are sold, not lent, so bring your own. You buy a ticket from a machine and hand it over at the counter.
