YesDay-use hours can shift by date and there is no fixed weekly closed day (closures are irregular), so it is worth calling ahead to confirm before visiting.
This is the standard adult rate for an hour in the large communal baths. The private baths cost more, 1,750 yen per adult per hour with a minimum of two people, and a towel is not included in the price but can be rented for a fee.

The spring water here is soft sulfur water that regulars call bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), beauty water, for how silky it leaves skin and hair. The two large communal baths, Hiten-no-yu (飛天の湯) and Byakuren-no-yu (白蓮の湯), swap between men's and women's sides morning and night; one opens its windows to the greenery outside in summer and closes up as an indoor bath in winter. Two private baths, a hinoki cypress tub called Tsubaki-no-yu (椿の湯) and a cave-themed room called Hora-no-yu (洞の湯), are free for staying guests any time with no reservation, and a few of the guest rooms, renovated in 2022, add a private open-air tub filled with the same spring water. Masagokan sits in Kurami onsen, a quiet valley outside Kakegawa where the spring has been used for bathing for over 400 years, since it was first found seeping from a crack in the rock. The ryokan itself dates to 1894, with a traditional wooden building, a sukiya-style tea room, and a garden that changes with the seasons.
