YesDay-use reception closes at 14:00 and 20:00, an hour before the baths themselves close at 15:00 and 21:00; there is no day-use entry between 14:00 and 18:00.
Weekend and holiday pricing (1,200 yen for adults, 600 yen for children) also applies during Obon (August 10 to 16) and the New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3). Child pricing covers ages 3 through elementary school.

The bathing floor splits into two areas. Tengano-yu (天河の湯), a view bath about 25 meters long, takes in the Iwate countryside and the stream below and sits next to a lava-stone sauna built from rock off Mt. Iwate. Hidakami-no-yu (日高見の湯) is a two-story atrium holding a wood-tub bath, a valley-view semi-open-air bath and a pottery bath side by side, plus a Finnish-style cave sauna with self-serve steam and a cold plunge for cooling down. The water itself runs clear and odorless, and leaves the skin feeling smooth. Three private baths can also be reserved by the hour, one paired with its own open-air tub, the others in pottery and hiba wood. The hotel sits on the Toyosawa River in Hanamaki's Minami Onsenkyo (南温泉峡), with mountain views from some rooms. It leans family-friendly, with an indoor play area and kids' bathing amenities alongside the onsen floor.
