The reduced senior rate (200 yen) requires showing the City of Hachimantai's elderly bathhouse voucher. A Google review also mentions a JAF member discount bringing the price to 540 yen, though this isn't listed on the official site.
Open-air outdoor bath
Enclosed indoor bathing area
Shared bathing area for all genders
Two separate baths (western style Cosmos, Japanese style Rindou) swap between men and women on a rotation; sources disagree whether the swap is daily or weekly, but all agree bathing stays gender separated, not mixed.
Welcomes children and families
A small day-use bathhouse in Hachimantai, run by the same local operator as a few other public facilities in the area. Two separate bathing halls, a Western-style room called Cosmos and a Japanese-style room called Rindou, swap between men and women on a rotation. Each has a large tub, an electric bath, a dry sauna and a cold plunge. Shampoo and soap aren't provided, so bring your own. The spring source here is currently out of service, so the water is heated instead of drawn from the ground. A small dining counter serves lunch alongside the baths.
